Right .Where do i start.
Hrm i think Fu Wern ,Vindya and I did AWESOME! We were the only sitar seniors performing tonight so the pressure was on us not to screw up.
- We played a quite a fast piece compared to the other groups/solos .Its a Ghat[composition] in Raag Malkauns[ a scale] based on Raag Bhairavi[also a scale -what a coincidence] in Druth Laya Teental when translated i think it means a fast speed in a cycle of 16 beats.Right??
- Weird coz i was not nervous till i had the bright spotlight at my face.Vindya was nervous frm listening to others[we were the last] that she forgotten our piece.WTF!The nerves went away when i started to play. I think after quite a few performances i'm gettin used to controllin my nerves.
- Had a trouble maintaining the speed bcos it was fast.haha so we had constantly focus on the tabla player[percussionist] for the ques and all.I dont remember the tabla player's name .So sorry dude but thanks anyways for being so patient.hehe.
Overall, we did awesome .We didnt screw up. The speed was a minor issue .No one did a major/huge mistake like the last performance in June. lmao. All in all i'm so HAPPY we did well[ohh..i so gotta stop] Right.Laters.xoxo
